Miniature Sitting Machine by Josef Hoffmann for Vitra
1:6-scale collector’s miniature. This is a small display model, not full-size furniture and not intended for seating.
Part of the Vitra Design Museum Miniatures Collection, this piece brings furniture history into a collectible format. Its reduced scale invites a close look at the design, proportions and construction. Please review the dimensions and packaging photographs before ordering.
Also known as the Sitzmaschine, Josef Hoffmann’s Sitting Machine brings together bentwood curves and the strong geometry of the Vienna Secession. Its open grid, looping supports and reclining-chair form give the 1905 design its distinctive mechanical character.
Made by the Vitra Design Museum at a scale of 1:6, this collectible chair miniature reproduces the proportions and construction details of the original. It offers a close look at furniture design in a size suited to display, study or a gift for a design enthusiast.
Presented in Vitra wooden-box packaging for storage or display.
