Fornasetti Frutto Proibito -Magenta / Gold Wallpaper by Cole & Son

Frutto Proibito gloriously combines different archival Fornasetti motifs from the 1940s and 50s. Mischievous monkeys, originally conceptualized for the Milanese patisserie, Dulciora, sit amongst sprawling pomegranate tree branches, taken from a striking fabric print. The playful composition of flora and fauna is quintessentially Fornasetti, mixing lifelike etchings with decadent, bold prints.

Showcasing the intricacies and reoccurring curiosities of Fornasetti’s fascination, this Cole & Son collection captures the wit, originality and boundless realm of the artist's visual language: from fantastical flying machines and mischievous monkeys, to classical architecture and the surreal appeal of everyday objects.
