Oak Nestor Chair by Tom Stepp for Mater

Inspired by the old shaker tradition Nestor is designed by Danish architect Tom Stepp. ‘Nestor’ means ‘the noblest and - implicitly the wisest’ and exemplifies how genuine materials and detail to comfort create great design. The chair is designed with careful attention to detail making it an exceptionally comfortable and long-lasting piece of furniture, shaped to fit the human body. The wood is sustainably sourced from well-managed forests and thereby honoring the UN Sustainable Development Goals of protect- ing “Life on Land” and “Responsible Consumption and Production” and supporting “Partnership for the Goals”. 

All waste wood from this design is converted into wood pellets, used to make the factory self-sufficient in the supply of heating.
