Oak Conscious Chair by Børge Mogensen & Esben Klint for Mater
The Conscious Chair was designed in 1958 by the renowned Danish furniture designer and architect Børge Mogensen and Esben Klint.
The chair's base is crafted from solid FSC-certified oak wood, the label for responsible forestry, which means the wood comes from responsibly managed forests. The seat and backrest are made of Mater Circular Materials, where an innovative technology allows them to recycle fiber-based waste materials such as coffee shell waste or wood fibres with recycled plastic waste from GROHE.
The chair is available in three versions: Soaped oak and light coffee waste, Black lacquered beech and black coffee waste, Grey Beech and Wood waste.
